A letter from our 2021 12U team...
To Our Community Members, Sponsors, and Fans,
Our Horsham Hounds 12U Boys Baseball Team has decided to withdraw from Cooperstown Dream Park Summer Tournament (CDP). Last month, Cooperstown released new guidelines that made it difficult for our club to meet. CDP decreased capacity to 50% and required each team to reapply for a new week. They also mandated that every player or guest 12 years of age and older receive the COVID vaccination in order to attend. We currently requested our money back, less deposits, and hope to receive a refund.
Each year, thousands of 12U boys look forward to this event as they have one opportunity in a lifetime to go to Cooperstown. As a team, the Horsham Hounds have already dedicated an enormous amount of time training and fundraising for this event. Our team of parents were very creative with fundraising efforts and we were able to reach our goal in these trying times. Many of our sponsors stepped up as well to support this talented group of Coaches and Players. We truly want to express our gratitude for stepping up to give these boys a magical baseball experience.
The team has decided to compete in the Cal Ripken Aberdeen Tournament in July. Our goal is to provide them with the likeness they would have received at Cooperstown.
All money raised will go towards this trip to make this as memorable an experience for these 12 year old boys as they round out their Little League careers. We will continue to represent our Sponsors as intended.
Again, we thank you for your support and donations. These boys are super excited about this new opportunity and they can’t wait to play some ball!
Sincerely,
The 12U Horsham Hounds Coaches, players, and parents
